Dr. Amanda Harms

     I was raised in the sunny desert of Mesa, Arizona, and my journey has taken me through Kansas, New Zealand, and now Colorado—each place adding depth and perspective to my life and work. I’m grateful to be married and the proud mother of six wonderful children and grandchild, who continue to inspire my passion for growth, resilience, and human connection.

     I earned my undergraduate degree from Liberty University, completed my graduate studies at Ottawa University, and went on to receive my PhD in Social Psychology from Walden University. My academic path reflects a lifelong commitment to understanding how people heal, connect, and transform.

     I am the author of Breaking Free from the Shame of Addiction and Send It Love, which are focused on emotional wellness and personal growth. Since 2015, I’ve worked in the mental health field, and today I serve as a counselor specializing in addiction and emotional healing in beautiful Colorado.

     In addition to my clinical work, I offer speaking engagements for organizations, schools, conferences, and community groups. I speak on mental health, emotional wellness, trauma‑informed care, inner‑child healing, and the psychology of self‑leadership.
